Our coaching philosophy is based on the belief that every individual has the power to change, achieve their goals, and create the life they desire. We believe in a clinical first model where the client's needs take priority over everything else. We also believe in building a strong and healthy partnership that includes collaboration between client and coach. Trust and compassion are the cornerstone of our partnership.
We work with clients from all walks of life who are committed to personal growth and working through life challenges. Each client has their own unique needs and we tailor coaching according to each individual. There is no cookie cutter approach to trauma recovery.
Trauma therapy and trauma recovery coaching both support people healing from overwhelming experiences, but they serve different purposes and operate within different scopes. Trauma therapy is a clinical, diagnostic, and treatment-focused process delivered by a licensed mental health professional. Its primary goal is to help clients process traumatic memories and treat a mental health diagnosis. Therapists can explore past events in depth, use clinical modalities such as EMDR, CBT, somatic therapies, or psychodynamic work, and address emotional, cognitive, and psychological injuries linked to trauma. In contrast, trauma recovery coaching is non-clinical, future-oriented, and grounded in nervous-system education, self-regulation skills, strengths, and life rebuilding. Coaches do not diagnose, treat mental illness, or process traumatic memories. Instead, they help clients develop regulation strategies, build healthy routines, improve relationships, strengthen boundaries, set goals, and move toward a meaningful life beyond trauma’s effects. Coaching focuses on safety, stability, empowerment, skill development, and cultivating resilience, while therapy focuses on clinical healing through emotional processing. Both can work beautifully together: therapy addresses the wounds of the past, while coaching supports the person in growing, functioning, and thriving in the present and future. However, not everyone needs both therapy and coaching to recover, heal, and rebuild their life. Book a free consultation to help determine what the best course of action is for you.

We work with all types of trauma. Trauma refers to a deeply distressing or overwhelming event that causes significant psychological and emotional harm. Acute trauma results from a sudden event that is extremely intense. An example of acute trauma may be an assault, a car accident, an unexpected death. Complex trauma is the result of experiencing traumatic events that are repetitive, intense, and prolonged. An example of this would be experiencing a series of many abusive relationships over a long period of time. Developmental trauma is experienced in childhood and can even start in the womb. Vicarious trauma results when a person is exposed to another person's trauma. This results in compassion fatigue and burn out. We often see this in first responders, military personnel, healthcare workers, and therapists. Another type of trauma is moral wounding trauma. This occurs when a person's morals, values, and ethics are compromised beyond their control. We are equipped to work with individuals who have any of these types of trauma.
The best way to determine which program is appropriate is to schedule a free consultation. During the consultation we will do an initial assessment and discuss your needs and goals. We will then collaborate and develop the best course of action.
You can do individual sessions however we have seen more improvement and positive outcomes with those clients who commit to their recovery for a minimum of 3-6 months.
