At My Trauma Recovery Coach, our mission is to help individuals move from surviving to thriving after trauma. We believe healing is not about reliving the past, but about building health, safety, and meaning in the present. Using evidence-based, trauma-informed coaching, and a salutogenic approach, we guide clients in developing the tools, self-awareness, and confidence needed to recover, reconnect, and rebuild their lives.
Our work is grounded in the salutogenic approach — a framework that focuses on what creates health, not what causes illness or keeps you stuck.
This approach, rests on three pillars:
Comprehensibility: Helping you make sense of your experiences and understand your body’s natural stress responses.
Manageability: Building practical tools and inner resources to handle life’s challenges with calm and confidence.
Meaningfulness: Reconnecting with your values, purpose, and the belief that your life is worth engaging in fully.
Through the salutogenic approach, coaching becomes more than symptom management — it becomes a process of growth, empowerment, and renewed self-trust.
Coaching sessions typically include the following:
-Mastering self regulation tools and techniques
-Capacity building
-Meeting primary/social/emotional needs
-Increasing ability to trust, choose, communicate, self-advocate, set boundaries, make sound decisions
-Creating long term positive expectations and hope for the future
-Strengthening interpersonal resources
-Strengthening resilience to stressors
-Developing healthy routine/habits to support overall wellbeing (including sleep, nutrition, movement, financial and career wellbeing)
Healing and recovery from trauma takes time and consistent utilization of therapeutic practices and techniques. We offer two trauma recovery coaching programs designed to meet you where you are on your healing journey:
